To the Students: Your Journey Starts Here
Hey! I’m Todd, and like many of you, I’ve faced my own challenges growing up. From being a three-sport athlete to receiving a hockey scholarship and even being drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs, my life seemed like it was on a clear path. But when my time on the ice and in school came to an end, I was left asking a question you might relate to: What now?

I struggled with finding my identity and purpose. I made decisions that seemed “right” on the outside but didn’t truly reflect who I was on the inside. For years, I battled anxiety, self-doubt, and uncertainty, searching for something more. What I found is that true success doesn’t come from what others see—it comes from understanding you.

That’s why I created SELF L1T: to help you unlock your potential, find your voice, and become the person you were always meant to be. This program is your gateway to self-discovery. Together, we’ll explore your strengths, face your challenges, and take steps toward a brighter future.

You don’t have to have all the answers right now—you just need to start the journey. SELF L1T will help you believe in yourself and your ability to make a difference in the world. Trust me, you’ve got what it takes.

To Parents, Educators, and Supporters: Building Stronger Foundations for Our Youth

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and the mission behind SELF L1T. I’ve spent nearly two decades as a high school history teacher, coach, and mentor. My career has been defined not just by the accolades and accomplishments but by the moments I’ve connected with students who were searching for purpose, just as I once was.

Growing up, I excelled in sports. I went on to earn a BA from Providence College and a Master’s Degree in Teaching History from UMASS-Dartmouth. Yet beneath the surface, I grappled with insecurities and a deep sense of inadequacy. I tried to live a lifetime in a day, pushing myself to solve life’s riddles immediately, only to feel more overwhelmed.

These experiences led me to recognize a gap in education—a focus on developing not just knowledge but the individual. That’s what SELF L1T is all about. It’s a carefully designed program that prioritizes personal growth alongside academic and professional success. Through goal-setting, self-reflection, and purposeful action, students discover their unique strengths and unlock their full potential.

My mission is simple yet profound: to help young people find their “key” sooner than I did, reducing the pain and uncertainty they might otherwise face. SELF L1T is not just a program—it’s a transformative journey that empowers students to answer life’s most important question with confidence: Who am I?

Whether you’re a parent looking to invest in your child’s future, an educator seeking tools to inspire your students, or a school system considering ways to support youth, SELF L1T provides the foundation for lasting impact. Together, we can guide the next generation toward lives filled with purpose, authenticity, and joy.

A Note of Gratitude
To all who read this, I am deeply thankful for your time and interest in my story and in SELF L1T. It’s a privilege to be part of this journey with you.

“Try not to live a lifetime in a day but rather live this day in a lifetime.”
Not perfect ~ Just better,
Todd
